Las Vegas Bowl Hoping To Negotiate Multiyear Title Sponsorship Deal With A National Bank

The Las Vegas Bowl is looking for a title sponsorship deal "with a national bank brand this year and have the deal last at least three or four years so that the bank can enjoy the sponsorship activation fruits" of having the game at the new Raiders stadium when it opens in '20, according to Alan Snel of LVSPORTSBIZ.com. The bowl game's last title sponsor was oil and vehicle lubricant company Royal Purple from '13-15. The '16 game had Geico involved, but only as a "presenting sponsor." Las Vegas Bowl Exec Dir John Saccenti "declined to identify the bank he’s negotiating with." But he said that it has a "strong local Las Vegas presence and is interested in getting into the college football market." Snel noted if the bank is Bank of America, it "would have a financial tie" to the new NFL stadium, as it is "helping the Raiders finance" the venue (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 8/31).
