MLBPA Signs Licensing Deal With Jump Ramp Games' Lucktastic Mobile App

The MLBPA has signed a licensing deal with Jump Ramp Games' flagship app, Lucktastic, which connects digital and mobile users with promotions and rewards. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. For now the deal is expected to run through this season. As part of the agreement, "MLBPA Fun Packs" will be released each week for the remainder of the MLB season and fans will be able to win a variety of personalized and autographed items from star players. "The partnership with Jump Ramp Games and its Lucktastic app represents another opportunity for players to connect with fans in the digital space," MLBPA Chief of Business Affairs Tim Slavin said. "The popular app is on millions of mobile devices, and the prizes will be signed or personalized, making the games that much more fun to play. We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with Lucktastic down the road in ways that will excite fans to engage in baseball in this non-traditional manner." Among the players expected to participate in the promotion are D-backs 1B Paul Goldschmidt, Red Sox P Chris Sale, Yankees DH Matt Holliday, Astros SS Carlos Correa, Dodgers P Clayton Kershaw, Rays 3B Evan Longoria, Rockies CF Charlie Blackmon and Reds 1B Joey Votto. Although it is officially being launched today, the Lucktastic gave the new MLBPA product a soft launch last Monday. The first week's MLBPA Fun Pack had 134,388 total users play it and the first week's contest generated 4,056,310 contest entries.
