Bucks COO MIKE MCCARTHY, who was named to his position eight months ago, has "resigned but will continue as a consultant to the team." Bucks Senior VP/Communications BARRY BAUM said that McCarthy "plans to 'go back and forth'" between Milwaukee and N.Y. (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/26).

SHE GOT GAME: The NBA has hired ANN RODRIGUEZ as Senior VP/WNBA League Operations, reporting to NBA President of League Operations BYRON SPRUELL. Rodriguez will oversee all on-court basketball operations and all player-related policies and programs for the WNBA. She previously worked for Atlanta United as VP/Business Operations, and she also has worked for the Earthquakes and Under Armour. Her job title is a new one created after longtime exec RENEE BROWN left as WNBA Chief of Operations in October. Rodriguez, a '17 SBJ/SBD "Forty Under 40" honoree, begins her new role Aug. 7 (John Lombardo, Staff Writer).

EXECS: The Rapids promoted Sporting Dir PADRAIG SMITH to interim GM and VP/Business Operations WAYNE BRANT to interim Chief Business Officer (DENVERPOST.com, 7/25)....Outdoor Sportsman Group named JIM LIBERATORE President & CEO. Liberatore previously served as President & CEO of Outdoor Sportsman Group's network channels group. Before joining OSG in '13, he served as SportsTime Ohio President.
