RPM Looking For Sponsorship To Put Bubba Wallace In Second Cup Car
Richard Petty Motorsports is searching for sponsorship for free agent Bubba Wallace in hopes of landing him for a full-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series ride next season, according to a source. If RPM can get primary sponsor Smithfield Foods to renew with its No. 43 Ford, Wallace would likely be part of a second car. Wallace started off the season at Roush Fenway Racing before being released due to a lack of sponsorship. RPM picked up Wallace to replace the injured Aric Almirola for four races earlier this summer. Almirola is now back, leaving one of the sport’s diverse rising stars in Wallace without a ride for the rest of the season.
