You've Got The Right Touch: PGA Tour Signs Four-Year Deal With Massage Envy

The PGA Tour has signed a four-year marketing partnership with Massage Envy, a first for the Tour in the massage and skin care category. The agreement is also the first sports sponsorship for Scottsdale-based Massage Envy. The deal includes sponsorship of the PGA Tour Champions along with the designation as the official total body care sponsor of the Tour’s Player Performance Centers, the mobile training and wellness trailers at Tour stops. The company also has signed deals with 10 Tour players -- Jonas Blixt, Patrick Cantlay, Bud Cauley, Tony Finau, Smylie Kaufman, Jamie Lovemark, Patrick Rodgers, Brandt Snedeker, Henrik Stenson and Justin Thomas -- as it rolls out its new sponsorship. Financial terms were not disclosed, but a media buy is also included in the sponsorship. The company did not use an agency in the deal. Activation begins at this week’s Travelers Championship outside Hartford and comes as the company launches its new Total Body Stretch program. “We are in the process of adding new services so we are using this as a platform to launch total body care,” said Massage Envy CEO Joe Magnacca. “We think athletes in golf take body mechanics very seriously and that is very different in how it used to be. The connectivity makes so much sense for us.”
