The Shell Game: Velveeta To Sponsor Ryan Newman For Several Cup Races

Velveeta has signed a deal with Richard Childress Racing to serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 31 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Chevy driven by Ryan Newman beginning with the June 18 race at Michigan Int'l Speedway (THE DAILY). Newman unveiled the new paint scheme last night on FS1, saying the design "makes me hungry." He added there will be a special box of Velveeta Shells & Cheese that will give a fan the "chance to be an honorary pit crew member at the Homestead-Miami championship weekend and get a chance to get a VIP experience and trip down there.” FS1’s Shannon Spake noted there is a sticker on 3 million boxes and if fans "buy that particular box, they can go online and register for this event.” Spake asked Newman what the winning fan will do while they are in South Florida, to which Newman replied, "Hopefully watch us win" ("NASCAR Race Hub,” FS1, 6/7).
