Buyers & Sellers: Lakers' Nick Young Puts His L.A. Mansion Up For Sale For $3.595M

Lakers G NICK YOUNG has placed his home in the Tarzana area of L.A. on the market for $3.595M. Young, a "devout sneakerhead, had the guesthouse on the property converted into a 'shoe house' during his ownership." The two-story 6,630-square-foot main house includes an"updated kitchen" and a "game room." Including the guest/shoe house, which has its "own entrance and kitchen, there are six bedrooms and nine bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 4/7). Young's "lavishly landscaped and heavily fortified .83-acre corner property, all but hidden behind a tall hedge and a row of pepper trees, encompasses a gated motor court and a high-maintenance, resort-style backyard gussied up stone paved terraces" (VARIETY.com, 4/6). Young previously lived in the home with his ex-fiancee, rapper IGGY AZALEA. The previous owner of the home was singer SELENA GOMEZ (MANSIONGLOBAL.com, 4/6).

SHREDDING POW POW: Snowboarder SHAUN WHITE is placing his Hollywood Hills home up for sale for $6.95M. White purchased the home in August '15 for $6.4M. The 4,500-square-foot home has "five bedrooms and four full two half bathrooms." Just inside the front door, where "everyone who enters the house must see and ogle it, there's a de rigueur if arguably woefully passe glass-fronted wine cellar and custom LED lighting strips crisscross the ceiling like laser beams" (VARIETY.com, 4/10).

DIAMOND DEALS: Former MLBer C.J. WILSON has sold his Newport Beach, Calif., home for $2.65M. The two-story home, built in '76 and "recently remodeled, came on the market in late January and had an offer in hand in about two weeks." Wilson paid $2.37M for the property in '15. Within the roughly 3,400 square feet of living space is "five bedrooms and four bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 4/10)....Cubs P JAKE ARRIETA is listing his home in Austin for $875,000. The 4,092-square-foot home has five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. There is also the "opportunity to buy the lot next to the house" (STATESMAN.com, 4/10). Arrieta's home "offers stunning views of Texas Hill Country." The home also "boasts three living rooms" (MYSANANTONIO.com, 4/10)....Angels 3B YUNEL ESCOBAR has "leased a four-bedroom house" in Newport Beach, Calif., for $14,000 a month. The two-story house with 4,258 square feet of living space includes a "terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean" (OCREGISTER.com, 4/5).

: New Missouri men's basketball coach CUONZO MARTIN is selling his Piedmont, Calif., house for $2.495M. The 4,123-square-foot "Mediterranean-style property has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths." The home was purchased in '14 for $2.5M. Martin resigned from Cal in March and later accepting the position at Missouri (MERCURYNEWS.com, 4/10)....Wizards coach SCOTT BROOKS sold his home in Newport Beach, Calif., for $2.35M. The two-story home came on the market in Feb. for $2.6M and "sold in about two months." Built in '69 and since updated, the home has 2,660 square feet of living space that includes "four bedrooms and three bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 4/7)....Former NHLer BRYAN BICKELL, who was diagnosed with MS in November and on Saturday announced his retirement from the league, last month sold his town home in the Lakeview area of Chicago for $535,000. Bickell paid $510,000 for the four bedroom home in '10. The 2,522-square-foot "brick town home" has 3.5 bathrooms (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 4/11)....Lakers F COREY BREWER has leased a home with 2,000 square feet of living space in Manhattan Beach, Calif., for $10,000 a month. The contemporary beach home, built in '99 and recently remodeled features a "pair of upper-level balconies" that "take in city and ocean views" (LATIMES.com, 4/11).
