Fox drew a 3.7 overnight rating yesterday afternoon for Jimmie Johnson's win in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race from Atlanta Motor Speedway. The rating for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 is down 27% from a 5.1 overnight for last year's race, which was also won by Johnson. In '14, Fox earned a 4.8 overnight for NASCAR's second race of the season, which took place at Phoenix Int'l Raceway.
NOTES: Yesterday's Iowa-Ohio State game on CBS led all college hoops telecasts over the weekend, garnering a 1.5 overnight from 4:00-6:30pm ET. CBS also earned a 1.3 overnight Saturday for Kentucky-Vanderbilt from 4:15-6:30pm....NBC earned a 2.6 overnight for yesterday's final-round coverage of the PGA Tour's Honda Classic, which saw Adam Scott beat Sergio Garcia by one shot. Last year's Sunday coverage earned a 2.1 overnight, as it carried the third round due to inclement weather on Saturday.
