T'Wolves Consider Adding Third Skyway Link To Target Center As Part Of Arena Renovations

Target Center "could get a third skyway link" on the southwest corner of the arena as part of its $129M renovation, according to Nick Halter of the MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL. That skyway "would create a direct connection" to Ramp A in the arena's parking lot. T'Wolves Senior VP/Marketing & Communications and CMO Ted Johnson said that "roughly one third of fans park in Ramp A." Halter noted the skyway would also "serve downtown workers who might find it more efficient to cut through Target Center and Mayo Clinic Square to get into the core of the city." A skyway "likely wouldn’t be built" until '17 as part of the second or third phases of the renovation, which is "scheduled to begin this summer" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/11).
