CBS' SEC Championship Leads Conference Title Game Ratings; Big Ten On Fox Up 60%

CBS drew an 8.3 overnight rating for Alabama's 29-15 win over Florida in the SEC Championship from 4:00-8:00pm ET, marking the highest-rated college football game on Championship Saturday and up 8% from a 7.7 overnight for Alabama's rout of Missouri last year. While up from '14, the 8.3 overnight is down from an 8.7 for Auburn’s 59-42 win over Missouri in '13 and down from a 10.0 for Alabama-Georgia in ’12. Fox on Saturday night drew a 6.0 overnight for Michigan State's late win over Iowa in the Big 10 Championship, up 62% from a 3.7 overnight for Ohio State’s 59-0 rout of Wisconsin last year. However, the 6.0 is down from an 8.4 for MSU’s upset win over then-undefeated OSU in '13. ABC on Saturday drew a 4.6 overnight for Clemson's 45-37 win over North Carolina in the ACC Championship, down 32% from a 6.8 overnight for Florida State’s 37-35 win over Georgia Tech, which remains the ACC title game high mark. Clemson-UNC is up from a 3.8 for FSU’s rout of Duke in '13. ESPN on Saturday night carried the Pac-12 title game, drawing a 1.3 overnight for Stanford's 41-22 over USC. That figure down 69% from a 4.2 overnight on Fox last year for Oregon’s 51-13 win over Arizona on a Friday night. ESPN2 on Saturday night aired the Mountain West title game, which saw San Diego State win 27-24 over Air Force. That game drew a 0.2 overnight, down 78% from 0.9 on CBS last year for Boise State-Fresno State. That game had an 11:00pm start on CBS.

LESS DRAMA: ESPN drew a 0.9 overnight for the "CFP Rankings Show" yesterday from 12:00-4:00pm, down 44% from a 1.6 overnight for the inaugural show last year, which had far more uncertainty regarding the playoff composition. Last year's show aired from 12:30-3:00pm.
