Facility Notes

Bucks President Peter Feigin said that the franchise “could exceed” its $500M budget for the downtown arena project, but “did not give a specific dollar amount of the possible cost overruns.” Feigin, when asked whether the arena can be built for $500M, said, “It’ll be very hard. One of the things that’s important to know is it’s probably my butt on the line because everything over [$500M] we pay for.” He added, “It’s our goal to get it in for $500 million or less. I think it will be really challenging to do that.” Feigin hinted that the team “will unveil ‘some interesting pictures’ of the new arena design at a Nov. 7 fan tailgate party, but apparently those will not include an actual detailed update of the new facility’s appearance” (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/4).
