SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Michael Smith reports Atlanta-based collegiate marketing firm MELT "recently acquired Ninja Multimedia, a small digital and technology firm that already has a strong foothold in the college space." The Atlanta-based Ninja and its five employees, including CEO DREW PEARSON, "will be folded into Melt." The acquisition of Ninja "comes on the heels" of MELT hiring SNIGDHA DHAR from the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl as the agency’s new Manager of Social & Digital Media. MELT "now has 60 employees" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/3 issue).

EXECS: The NFL Jets promoted Manager of Football Administration JACQUELINE DAVIDSON to Dir of Football Administration. She has been with the club for nine years and "served as a chief negotiator of player contracts." Meanwhile, NFL Giants team doctor RUSS WARREN "has stepped down" (AP, 8/2)....The Devils named Blue Jackets Dir of Amateur Scouting PAUL CASTRON to the same position (Devils)....The Coyotes named Maple Leafs VP & Assistant GM CLAUDE LOISELLE Hockey Operations Consultant (Coyotes)....New Orleans-based Fair Grounds Race Course named JASON BOULET Senior Dir of Racing after the departure of HOWARD WITHERS (NOLA.com, 7/30)....The Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl BOT named Kia Motors America Southern Region VP PERCY VAUGHN to a two-year stint as Chair (Peach Bowl).
