CAA Signs On As Title Sponsor Of '16 SBJ/SBD World Congress Of Sports

CAA will become title sponsor of the World Congress of Sports, the industry-leading gathering presented by SportsBusiness Journal/Daily. The CAA World Congress of Sports will take place April 13-14, 2016, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live. Under the terms of the agreement, CAA will be the title sponsor and a strategic partner of the event. “We’re extremely excited to be partnering with CAA, an organization that has such broad expertise in sports and, of course, the entertainment industry as a whole. It’s a great combination,” said SportsBusiness Journal/Daily Publisher Richard Weiss. CAA Sports co-Head Howard Nuchow said, "Throughout the past decade, the World Congress of Sports has provided an unmatched forum for thought-leaders and luminaries to come together to share ideas that have helped shape the sports business.” The CAA World Congress of Sports is the largest and most prestigious sports business conference in North America. This past April, more than 800 senior execs attended the Congress. The program speakers and event content touches on a broad range of sports, entertainment, media and leadership topics and the speaker faculty has featured individuals ranging from Disney Chair & CEO Bob Iger to U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner. “We are thrilled to partner with the Sports Business Journal/Daily for the 15th gathering of this industry-leading conference, and are confident that our global resources in sports, entertainment, and media, will help deliver a next-generation experience for all attendees,” CAA co-Head Michael Levine said. Weiss said extensive planning has already begun on next April’s event. “With our partner CAA and the editorial and production team we have in place here at the Journal and Daily, I know we will elevate the Congress to an even higher level of thought leadership,” Weiss said. CAA replaces IMG, which served as the event’s title sponsor from '07-15. The inaugural World Congress took place over two days in March '02 at the Waldorf Astoria in N.Y.
