Buyers & Sellers: Cubs Exec Adds Newly Built Chicago-Area Home

Cubs VP/Sales & Partnerships COLIN FAULKNER in June paid $1.8M for a "newly built house" in the Chicago area (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 7/21)....Wizards F KRIS HUMPHRIES has purchased a Beverly Hills home on "more than three quarters of an acre" for $6.2M. The 3,300-square-foot home is "highlighted by walls of glass, skylights, a center-island kitchen and a den with a wet bar" (LATIMES.com, 7/22)....Jaguars QB BLAKE BORTLES bought an "oceanfront house in Jacksonville Beach" for $1.5M. The two-story home, built in '95, "was recently remodeled and features an open porch facing the beach, two outdoor showers and a walk-in temperature controlled wine room" (JAXDAILYRECORD.com, 7/22)

: Ducks C RYAN GETZLAF has put his home in Tustin, Calif., "on the market" for $4.9M. The 6,900-square-foot home includes a "kitchen with two islands, a home theater, a game room, a wine cellar, five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms." It also features a "sports court, a putting green, a swimming pool and spa and two covered patios" (LATIMES.com, 7/22)....Avalanche D FRANCOIS BEAUCHEMIN's Tustin home, which was listed two weeks ago, "got a $100,000 price slice" this week to $3.39M. The 5,500-square-foot home, which Beauchemin bought in '12 while playing for the Ducks, sits on half an acre (OCREGISTER.com, 7/22)....Former NFLer JUSTIN SMITH has "put his home in San Jose on the market" for $2.888M. The 3.6-acre property "sits on a private street and is accessed by a long driveway." Lawns, waterfalls, a tennis/basketball court, a covered cabana and a swimming pool with a spa "make up the park-like grounds" (LATIMES.com, 7/21).
