ESPN has promoted VP/Programming & Acquisitions ILAN BEN-HANAN to VP/College Sports Programming. In the new position, Ben-Hanan will oversee all of the company’s college sports rights acquisitions, including football, men’s/women’s basketball, all NCAA Championships and the CFP. Ben-Hanan is filling the role formerly held by ROSALYN DURANT, who last month was promoted to Senior VP/College Networks. Ben-Hanan will be reporting directly to ESPN Exec VP/Programming & Scheduling BURKE MAGNUS (Austin Karp, Assistant Managing Editor).

EXECS: IMG Sports Marketing named the following to GM positions for its college sports properties: ERIK ANTICO for Delaware; MARIE PURDUE for Furman; KYLE WINCHESTER for UCF; MIKE WINN for Boston College and ERIC BUSKIRK for Ohio (IMG Sports Marketing)....The Aspire Group hired the following for Colorado State Univ.'s Fan Relationship Management Center: YANCEY JONES as Dir of Sales & Service, SHANE HENRY and MAX SZILAGYI as Ticket Sales & Service Consultants and TODD SHELL as Team Lead (Aspire Group)....The Univ. of North Carolina named Univ. of Oklahoma Senior Associate AD/Student Life & Strategic Planning and Senior Woman Administrator NICKI MOORE Senior Associate AD and Senior Woman Adminstrator. BETH MILLER has held the latter role since '81, but is "retiring at the end of the month" (Durham HERALD-SUN, 6/25)....Syracuse Univ. named PETE SALA VP & Chief Campus Facilities Officer after a "three-month stint" as interim AD (SYRACUSE.com, 6/24)....Hospitality management company Guest Services named Redskins VP/Corporate Partnerships, Special Events & Government Relations SCOTT SHEPHERD VP & Chief Commercial Officer (Guest Services)....VenuWorks named Ticketmaster Senior VP GEORGE WOOD CEO. Wood will report to VenuWorks President STEVE PETERS (VenuWorks)....The U.S. Equestrian Federation named COLBY CONNELL CMO, effective mid-July (USEF).
