TIGER WOODS "plans on opening" his int'l HQ this summer at Harbourside Place in Jupiter, Fla., where he "has signed a lease." The company, Tiger Woods Design, "designs golf courses, sells merchandise and markets the Tiger Woods name." Woods "also plans on opening a restaurant called The Woods in Harbourside Place in about two months" (PALM BEACH POST, 4/16).

COURT REPORT: Author JIM DENT yesterday was sentenced to 10 years in Texas prison "as part of a plea deal with Collin County prosecutors." The author of such books as "THE JUNCTION BOYS" had pleaded guilty in November '13 to two DWI charges -- "his ninth and 10th such convictions that spanned more than three decades and four states." Dent worked as a sportswriter covering the Cowboys for more than a decade for the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram and the Dallas Times Herald. In '91, he "quit the newspaper business and became a nationally syndicated radio talk show host." He also started writing books (DALLASNEWS.com, 4/15)....Former Centerplate CEO DES HAGUE yesterday in Vancouver Provincial Court was given a $5,000 fine and a prohibition against "owning, having custody of or controlling any animal for three years" after his highly publicized dog-kicking scandal last year, for which he was fired (Vancouver PROVINCE, 4/16)....Former NFLer STU VOIGT yesterday was one of two people indicted “on federal fraud charges stemming from an alleged Ponzi scheme that swindled millions of dollars from investors” (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 4/16).

BUNDLING BUCKS: Bucks co-Owner MARC LASRY "is seeking to raise $270,000 in the first week of HILLARY CLINTON's presidential campaign." Lasry sent an e-mail to contacts wherein he wrote he would "love to try to raise 270." He said, "The big thing here is, let's just get people involved." Lasry employed Clinton's daughter, CHELSEA, at his hedge-fund firm from '06-09 (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 4/16).

CHARITY STRIPE: Saints OT ZACH STRIEF and G TIM LELITO will "coach state lawmakers in a charity flag football game" this Sunday (NOLA.com, 4/15)....While late Mount St. Joseph basketball player LAUREN HILL "did not reach her goal" of raising $2.2M for cancer research while she was alive, initiatives to help her goal "are going strong this week after basketball commentator DICK VITALE pledged to make a large donation." Vitale on Tuesday tweeted that he "will give a $250,000 Lauren Hill Pediatric Research Grant at his annual gala" in May (ENQUIRER.com, 4/15)....Bills RB LESEAN MCCOY's eponymous foundation has teamed with the Triple-A Int'l League Rochester Red Wings to "use his annual celebrity softball game" on June 13 at Frontier Field to raise awareness and funds for the ALS Association's Western New York branch (ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE, 4/16).
