Documents Show Topps, VF, Sony Led Licensee Payments To MLBPA In '14

MLBPA received at least $1M from 12 different licensees, according to the union’s newly filed annual report. The document, filed last week with the U.S. Department of Labor and representing the '14 calendar year, showed 113 different licensees for the union. Topps, VF, Sony, Team Beans and Fathead were each listed twice, and the totals listed below represent the combined amounts for those respective licensees. Payments are credited in the years they are received and not earned, and the report, known as the LM-2, is based on cash and not accrual accounting.
