Mavericks Owner MARK CUBAN's "budding acting career will get another boost" as he will play the role of President of the U.S. in the upcoming "SHARKNADO 3" movie. Cuban: "There are shotguns, grenades, me running, and jumping through windows.” Asked whether he dies in the end, Cuban said, “I can’t tell you. [But former NBAer] RICK FOX is my bodyguard and he goes down early.” Cuban said that taping his part of the Syfy movie "took two 12-hour days" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 3/3)....UFC fighter RONDA ROUSEY and actor IKO UWAIS are set to star in "MILE 22," an action-thriller produced by PETER BERG. The film "explores the relationship between a CIA field officer and an Indonesian police officer forced to work together as they confront violent and extreme political corruption." Rousey made her film debut last summer in “THE EXPENDABLES 3″ and "can be seen" in this year’s “FURIOUS 7″ and “ENTOURAGE.” Rousey is "also attached to the Warner Bros. adaptation" of “THE ATHENA PROJECT” (VARIETY.com, 3/2).

COURT REPORT: Boxing Promoter YVON MICHEL is suing middleweight fighter DAVID LEMIEUX in the Superior Court of Quebec for $1.35M, "claiming Lemieux broke their agreement." Michel also is suing Lemieux rep CAMILLE ESTEPHAN and his Eye of the Tiger Management; Golden Boy Promotions, which announced it "signed Lemieux to a promotional agreement in January; and HBO, which televised Lemieux's last fight in December and which Michel claims is complicit in Lemieux's breaking his contract" (ESPN.com, 3/2).

CHARITY STRIPE: The Super Bowl 50 Host Committee on Friday announced it is making $2.5M in donations "to five local nonprofit groups." The 50 Fund, the committee’s charity arm, said that it will "donate one-fourth of the money raised from corporate sponsors and private individuals in the lead-up" to the Feb. 7, 2016 game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. The "goal is to dole out" more than $10M (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/28).
