MLL Boston Cannons Find New Home For '15 Season At Gillette Stadium

The MLL Boston Cannons have inked a deal to "play all" of their '15 home games at Gillette Stadium, according to Bruce Lerch of the BOSTON HERALD. Harvard Stadium was the home of the team since '07, but plans to "redo the stadium’s turf field this summer and a lack of availability due to other events left the Cannons staring at the possibility of not being able to host a game until mid-June." Cannons GM Kevin Barney said that the organization "had approached Gillette Stadium officials in the past about hosting a game and was thankful they were able to able to step in and host the team for the upcoming season." The Cannons "will play the majority of their home games in conjunction" with Revolution matches during the MLS season, something that "made it easier for Gillette officials to accommodate the lacrosse games." The teams "face similar needs from a gameday operational standpoint" (BOSTON HERALD, 1/12).
