Express Yourself: Warriors' Stephen Curry Signs On To Endorse Apparel Brand

Warriors G Stephen Curry has signed an endorsement deal with apparel company Express. The company will debut a new marketing campaign featuring Curry in March (Express). GQ's Angelo Spagnolo noted Curry will be the "first men's brand ambassador in the company's 30 year history." Curry said, "It's a brand I've worn for a long time, even without a professional affiliation. ... Express was one of my staple stores. When they called, it made perfect sense." Curry's father, Dell, played in the NBA for 16 seasons, and Stephen Curry said, "When he played they didn't have the dress code, but he still wore suits to games. His team used to have mandatory suits on the bus and plane rides. He always had a little bit of style. ... Now obviously, with the dress code, no matter if you're into it or not, you gotta do a little something" (GQ.com, 12/23). In Columbus, Dan Eaton noted Curry, who also is part of a new State Farm marketing campaign, joins model Kate Upton "in Express' stable of celebrity spokespeople" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/23).
