MLS Attendance Up 4% At All-Star Break; Chivas USA Figure At New Low

MLS teams are averaging 18,867 fans per game heading into tonight's All-Star Game, up 4% from the same period last season. The Sounders' average of 42,424 leads all teams, with the closest figure almost 20,000 fans fewer. Toronto FC has moved into the No. 2 spot this season, as attendance at BMO Field has jumped 16% to date. The Earthquakes and DC United lead all teams in gains, with both clubs seeing a 22% increase. The Impact continue to slide down the attendance rankings. After finishing third in the club's debut MLS season in '12, the team now ranks 10th, with attendance down 12% this season. Chivas USA also continues to rank last in attendance, with the team's figure down 24% to date. The current figure of 6,637 would mark a new low for the club (THE DAILY).
