CLC Renews Trademark Licensing Agreements With Six Partner Universities

CLC on Thursday announced it has renewed its licensing agreements with six schools -- Virginia, Vanderbilt, Pittsburgh, East Carolina, Grambling State and Boston Univ. ECU's deal is through June 30, 2023, while lengths of the other deals have not been disclosed. CLC Senior VP & Managing Dir Cory Moss said, “These schools that we are highlighting really cap off a great year of renewals for us in renewing nearly 30 of our partner institutions.” Vanderbilt beat Virginia last month in the College World Series, and Moss said both schools have "seen some increases in royalties." Moss said with the renewals, CLC is “striving to provide better services and more programs that move their merchandise." Moss: “We have recently launched a new retail intelligence system that provides more information on where their products are being sold and what the opportunities are.” He added, “We are also creating new marketing programs to try and seize the entire calendar. So we focus on making college a 365-day-a-year business."
