In Akron, Nate Ulrich notes Browns QB Johnny Manziel on Wednesday posted an Instagram photo of Heat F LeBron James "modeling Nike’s new 'Money Manziel' T-shirt, which carries a $30 price tag and is available for pre-sale on the apparel company’s website." Manziel in January "signed with LRMR Management, the marketing firm run by" James’ business partner and longtime friend Maverick Carter. This "isn’t the first time James has promoted Manziel’s brand." Manziel appeared in a McDonald’s commercial featuring James, a "longtime spokesman" for the QSR (OHIO.com, 5/29).

TIME IS ON HIS SIDE: Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater appeared on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” Friday morning to discuss endorsement possibilities, and he said he is "trying to maximize every opportunity that’s out there, to build relationships with the sponsors that are out there and connect with them." He said, "There are some opportunities in Minnesota. There is Target, the Best Buys and Pearson, who makes school books. So there’re some opportunities out there.” He later said his dream endorsement would be with Rolex ("Squawk on the Street," CNBC, 5/30).

SHARP-DRESSED MAN: WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY's Khanh Tran noted Dodgers CF Matt Kemp is the "first male celebrity fronting the big marketing push for Gap Inc.'s Factory outlet stores." Kemp said, "I love to dress up. I love to wear suits. When I get a chance to wear suits, I'll wear one. ... I love to go out, show people I can wear a suit and make it look all right." Kemp said his favorite brands are "Calvin Klein, Boss, Tom Ford." He added, "I don't discriminate because there are a lot of good suit makers out there. ... I can go get them off the rack and have them tailored myself" (WWD.com, 5/29).
