Dunkin' Donuts Inks David Ortiz To Deal Despite Fallout From Samsung Selfie Incident

Red Sox DH David Ortiz and Dunkin’ Donuts “are teaming up” for a new sponsorship agreement, which will see Ortiz "appear in radio and TV commercials and on the brand’s social media channels promoting iced coffee and other beverages," according to Taryn Luna of the BOSTON GLOBE. Ortiz “announced his new role" yesterday on his Twitter account. The partnership “proves that Ortiz is still an attractive marketing personality,” despite the selfie incident with Samsung and President Obama earlier this month. Dunkin’ said that the deal "will extend through" the ’14 MLB season (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/30).
