Blues Using New Model For Postseason, Going With Four Presenting Sponsors
The Blues will have "four presenting sponsors for their entire playoff run" instead of having a different sponsor for each game, in a move that is "a first for the organization," according to Samantha Liss of the ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL. Sources said that the deals are "worth six figures." The set-up means Blues execs "won’t have to scramble for a corporate sponsor for each game as the team progresses in the playoffs." The deals mean "more exposure" for the four sponsors -- Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers, Enterprise, Ford and BMO Harris Bank -- "instead of 'owning' just one game like in years past." Blues Senior VP/Corporate Sponsorship Eric Stisser said that the sponsors "will have their logos included on every promotional item, instead of just one like in years past, and will have more exposure on social media, radio and TV spots featuring the Blues." He added that promotional items for the first-round games "include a free T-shirt, rally towels and thunder sticks" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/15).
