Sports Execs Have Equal Or Less Interest In Sochi Games Compared To Vancouver

Sports execs, when comparing their level of interest in the Sochi Games to the '10 Vancouver Games, are split between being having the same level of interest and less interest, according to results of a Turnkey Sports Poll conducted in January. Of the execs polled, 48% said they had the same level of interest when comparing Sochi and Vancouver, while 47% said they were less interested. Only 4% said they had a higher level of interest. Meanwhile, a majority of execs polled (52%) said they would attend the Sochi Games if all travel and attendance costs were covered and their personal schedules allowed it. Execs were also asked if they thought Winter Olympics host countries see positive returns from hosting the games, with 41% saying no. Another 26% said the host nations would see a return in 2-5 years, while 14% said within one year (Turnkey).
