The Lion Doesn't Sleep Tonight: Ndamukong Suh Leaves Relativity Sports
Lions DT Ndamukong Suh, who is in the final year of his rookie deal, left Relativity Sports yesterday. It is not clear why Suh left veteran NFL player agents Roosevelt Barnes and Eugene Parker, or if he would return or sign with another agent. Under NFLPA agent regulations, Suh cannot sign with another agent for five days. The Lions have publicly expressed interest in signing Suh to an extension. If the club does not do so, he would become a free agent after next season. He was the No. 2 pick in the '10 NFL draft and Barnes and Parker negotiated one of the biggest-ever rookie deals for him -- reported to be worth $68M over five years, $40M of it guaranteed. The amount of money top rookies can earn was significantly reduced in the '11 NFL CBA.
