Illinois-based agriculture company Brandt Consolidated confirmed yesterday that it will "be the primary sponsor" for Justin Allgaier's No. 51 Chevrolet SS for 21 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, beginning with the Daytona 500. The Springfield STATE JOURNAL-REGISTER noted Brandt has sponsored Allgaier since '11, and other sponsors on his car "include The National FFA, TradeMark Nitrogen, Nutrients for Life Foundation, Precision Tank and Grigg Brothers." Phoenix Racing said the partners make Allgaier's entry "the only true ag-focused car" in the Sprint Cup (SJ-R.com, 1/21).

AROUND THE TRACK: Love's Travel Stops yesterday announced that it will partner with Front Row Motorsports' Sprint Cup team for 14 races in '14. The company will have its name and logo on driver David Gilliland's No. 38 Ford, beginning at the Daytona 500 (Love's)....USA TODAY's Jeff Gluck noted Alliance Truck Parts will be on driver Brad Keselowski's No. 2 car "for eight races this year" (TWITTER.com, 1/21). The deal will begin at the Sprint Cup race at Phoenix Int'l Raceway on March 2 and marks Alliance's first foray into sponsoring a Sprint Cup driver (Alliance).

ACCRUING INTEREST: The Oilers yesterday announced a new six-year partnership to make Scotiabank the team’s official bank. The partnership will focus on programs aimed at supporting fans, communities and grassroots hockey (Oilers). Scotiabank is the official bank of the NHL in Canada, as well as the official bank of the Canucks, NHL Jets, Maple Leafs, Senators and Flames. The bank also has a deal with the Canadiens (Scotiabank).
