NBC To Televise Special Celebrating 50th Anniversary Of SI Swimsuit Issue

Sports Illustrated parent Time Inc. and NBC will collaborate on a two-hour, primetime TV special celebrating the 50th anniversary of SI’s Swimsuit issue. "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful" will air Monday, Feb. 3, the day after the Super Bowl, on NBC and be hosted by model and TV personality Heidi Klum. Other swimsuit models slated to be part of the special include Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Kathy Ireland, Marisa Miller and Kate Upton. Musical acts performing on the show include Lady Antebellum, Enrique Iglesias, John Legend, Tim McGraw and The Fray. The TV special is one component of a large multimedia blitz arriving next month as part of the Swimsuit golden anniversary.
