The Daily Hits 20: Remembering Several Important Naming-Rights Deals

When THE DAILY launched, only 17 major league venues had a corporate name, including five buildings that were under construction. Of those deals, only Target, United and Coors signage remains. Target is in the final season of an extension at the T'Wolves' and WNBA Lynx’ home arena. Just days after our launch, CoreStates (Philadelphia) and Gund (Cleveland) would announce deals, and by our first aniversary, the list of big league naming-rights deals had nearly doubled.

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more

The second-ever MWC commissioner chats with SBJ’s Ross Nethery about her climb through the collegiate ranks. Nevarez is a member of SBJ’s Game Changers Class of 2019. Nevarez has had stints at the conference level in the Pac-12, West Coast Conference, and Mountain West Conference as well as at the college level at Oklahoma, Cal, and San Jose State. She shares stories of that journey as well as how being a former student-athlete guides her decision-making today.
