NBC Names Jeff Behnke VP/NASCAR Production, Its First Big Hire For The Property

NBC Sports has hired JEFF BEHNKE to be its VP/NASCAR Production. Behnke is the first major NASCAR-related hire NBC has made since it acquired the rights to the sport in a 10-year $4.4B deal earlier this year. NBC will begin broadcasting the sport in '15. Behnke will work out of Charlotte and oversee all aspects of NBC’s NASCAR production, including live remotes, studio broadcasts and on-air talent hiring. He previously worked as an executive producer at Turner Sports and worked on NASCAR, NBA, MLB and golf programming. Behnke spent 27 years with Turner and has more than two decades of experience working on NASCAR.
