Hawking Merchandise: Kane, Toews Lead NHL Player Jersey Sales In October

Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane had the top-selling player jersey on shop.NHL.com for the month of October after finishing last season with the fifth-best selling jersey. Kane’s teammate, C Jonathan Toews, ranked No. 2 for the month of October after leading all players last season. Flyers C Claude Giroux led all players to start the lockout-shortened ’12-13 season (Jan. 1-31). Giroux ranked No. 13 during October ’13. Rounding out the top five during the first month of the ’13-14 season were Penguins C Sidney Crosby, Red Wings C Pavel Datsyuk and new Panthers G Tim Thomas. No goalie finished last season ranked among the top 20 players. Thomas did not play during the ’12-13 season, but ranked No. 7 overall during the ’11-12 season when he last played with the Bruins.
