NHRA VP/PR & Communications JERRY ARCHAMBEAULT has left the organization to join The Brand Amp, a new communications agency based in California. Archambeault joined the NHRA in ‘99 from PR firm Hill & Knowlton. He was one of the organization’s most senior execs. At The Brand Amp, he will be working with clients that include Qualcomm, TaylorMade-adidas Golf, DirecTV and Red Bull (Tripp Mickle, Staff Writer).

EXECS: Fox Networks promoted Exec VP/Distribution MICHAEL BIARD to President of Distribution. He will report to Group Chair & CEO PETER RICE (VARIETY.com, 10/22)....Braves Special Assistant to the GM DICK BALDERSON announced his retirement after 16 years with the organization. The Braves named JEFF SCHUGEL Special Assistant to the GM & Major League Scout (Braves)....Richard Petty Motorsports has fired crew chief TODD PARROTT for "violating NASCAR's substance-abuse policy" after he was suspended indefinitely last week "for failing a random drug test." GREG EBERT was "elevated to interim crew chief" for the No. 43 Sprint Cup Series car driven by ARIC ALMIROLA (AP, 10/22)....The Sabres named former NHLer KEVYN ADAMS HARBORCenter Academy of Hockey VP & Dir (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/22)....The LPGA promoted Senior Marketing Dir TINA BARNES-BUDD to Senior Dir of Social Media Marketing & Communications and Tour Media Manager KELLY THESIER to Media Communications Dir (LPGA).
