Clippers' Chris Paul, Blake Griffin Star In New Comical Spot For Foot Locker

Clippers F Blake Griffin and G Chris Paul star in a new spot for Foot Locker unveiled yesterday as part of the chain's "Approved" series of ads. The spot, which highlights Foot Locker's Jordan Brand gear, spoofs Griffin's marketability by showing he is plugged into an "Endorser" device while lauding his new shoes. When Paul unplugs him, Griffin continues to explain that he likes the apparel, prompting Paul to say, "Blake, you really meant that" (THE DAILY). Paul said of the Foot Locker creative, "The commercial was fun too, man. We had fun shooting it. We're basically making fun of Blake, for the fact that he's always in every commercial that comes on TV." In L.A., Broderick Turner notes Paul is "feeling good about his outside ventures" after being featured in many ads recently. Paul said, "I try to do as many of the commercials as possible during the summer. Doing the commercials and stuff is a lot of fun. But I never let that take away from what the main priority is and that's basketball. I want to win a ring" (L.A. TIMES, 8/7).
