IMG's Kristina Schaefer Departs For Position With Teneo Strategy's Sports Practice

Olympic marketer KRISTINA SCHAEFER has left IMG and joined Teneo Strategy as a Managing Dir. Teneo is a N.Y.-based firm that assists companies, governments and NGOs with everything from corporate strategy and investor relations to communications and governmental affairs. Schaefer, who spent 15 years at IMG and most recently served as Senior VP/Consulting and Head of Olympic Clients, will join Teneo’s sports practice, which is advising clients on Olympic and int'l sports bids, marketing and other work. Former Helios President TERRENCE BURNS and former Breeders Cup President GREG AVIOLI also work at Teneo. Former Helios CEO CHRIS WELTON joined the firm in February, but has left to start his own business.
