Fox Soccer In Record Number Of Homes In July; ESPN At Lowest Level Since Oct. '08

Fox Soccer is in 51.4 million U.S. homes in July, marking another new record for the network as it continues to see the biggest increase in distribution year-to-date among all cable channels. The net is the primary home of the biennial CONCACAF Gold Cup this month and was in 39.1 million homes during the last event in July ’11. NBA TV also began airing Summer League games over the weekend, with the network in 60.4 million homes, up from 59.8 million in July ’12. ESPN is in just under 98 million homes in July, the largest distribution among sports-specific cable nets, but marking the net’s lowest level since October ’08. ESPN2 also is at its lowest level since July ’09. Speed is in 85.4 million homes in July, one month before it is set to be re-launched as Fox Sports 1. Golf Channel is in 82.5 million homes this month, its lowest level since January ’10.
