Executive Transactions

The NFL yesterday denied a report from The Big Lead's Jason McIntyre that said NFL Exec VP/Media STEVE BORNSTEIN is stepping down. An NFL spokesperson said, "I just spoke to (Bornstein). He said flatly, 'No truth to it.'" It has been widely speculated that the longtime exec would step down when his current contract expires in the middle of '14, especially considering that NFL Network is near full distribution levels and the league's media rights deals run until '22. As the NFL's top media exec, one of Bornstein's next big deals will be to sell rights to the league's out-of-market Sunday Ticket package (John Ourand, Staff Writer).
