Blackhawks Top NHL Teams In Average Home Attendance For Fifth Consecutive Season

The Blackhawks led all NHL teams in average attendance for the fifth straight season, drawing 21,776 fans per game to United Center this season (106% capacity). That figure is up just over 1% from last season. The Stars led all NHL teams in gains at the gate this season, up 20% at AmericanAirlines Center. Despite continued ownership issues and ranking last among Western Conference teams in average attendance, the Coyotes saw a 12% jump at the gate. Also seeing strong increases at the gate were the Wild (+6%), and Ducks (+7%). The Blues, making the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, saw the sharpest drop in attendance among all NHL clubs, down 5% at Scottrade Center. Listed below is an attendance leader trend for the NHL, along with team-by-team attendance figures for Western Conference clubs. See yesterday's issue for Eastern Conference figures and a league attendance trend (THE DAILY).
