The jersey worn by MIKE ERUZIONE, captain of the '80 U.S. Olympic hockey team that won the "Miracle on Ice" game, "sold for $657,250 on Saturday night." The stick Eruzione used was "purchased for $262,900" in an auction. Other Eruzione items sold included his "jersey worn in the gold medal win against Finland ($286,800), the warmup suit he wore during the gold medal ceremony ($26,290), Eruzione-used Team USA gloves ($53,775) and used pants ($26,680)" (AP, 2/23)....A Bucks jersey worn by KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR in his rookie season of '69-70 and in the team's only NBA championship season in '70-71 was "sold at auction Saturday for $95,600" (JSONLINE.com, 2/24)....The "bloody sock" worn by former MLBer CURT SCHILLING while pitching for the Red Sox in Game 2 of the '04 World Series was "sold for $92,613 at a live auction on Saturday night" (AP, 2/24).
