Overnight Ratings: NBC's Stanford-Notre Dame Tops Weekend College Football

NBC earned a 3.9 overnight Nielsen rating for Notre Dame’s OT win over Stanford in the 3:30pm ET window on Saturday, tops among all college football telecasts this weekend. Ranking second was ESPN with a 3.7 overnight for Saturday night’s South Carolina-LSU matchup. ABC also earned a 3.5 overnight for the Oklahoma-Texas matchup in the 12:00pm window. CBS’ declining SEC football numbers continued as Alabama-Missouri earned a 2.2 overnight in the 3:30pm window, down 21% from the comparable LSU-Tennessee last year. Saturday night’s slate of sports telecasts also featured the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 on ABC. That race earned a 3.0 overnight, flat compared to last year.
