MLS Attendance Remains Up Over 5% Heading Into Final Month Of Season

MLS clubs are averaging 18,501 fans per game with about a month left in the regular season, up 5.4% from the same point in '11. Sounders FC maintains its big lead over the rest of the league with 42,379 fans per game, up 14.7% from last year. The Impact have moved into second place in attendance with 23,107 fans per game during the club's inaugural MLS season. Despite being on the outside of the playoff bubble, the Crew are seeing the league's largest jump in attendance, up 26.6%. Meanwhile, the Dynamo's first season at BBVA Compass Stadium has also led to a 23.3% jump in attendance for the club. DC United and Toronto FC are seeing the sharpest drops at the gate (THE DAILY).
