A source said that Dodgers GM NED COLLETTI has "signed a multiyear contract extension with the team." Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the Dodgers "aren't expected to formally announce" the contract. Colletti was in the "final year of the guaranteed portion of his contract" (L.A. TIMES, 9/16). Colletti's previous contract "called for mutual options after this season, but a new deal was being discussed for more than a week" (, 9/15).

In Boston, Christopher Muther noted Celtics G RAJON RONDO was at the N.Y. offices of GQ magazine during Fashion Week “for several days working as an intern -- unpaid -- to learn more about fashion.” Rondo said, “This is something I’ve always been into. I’m just here to learn new things, network, and meet people in the fashion business, and have fun doing it.” In his "short time at GQ (he interned for less than a week), he packed boxes of clothes to be shipped off for a photo shoot” in L.A. and “walked through fashion showrooms and met with designers such as BILLY REID and MICHAEL BASTIAN” (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/16).
