IMG Learfield Signs Deals With Troy, UTEP; Collegiate Consulting To Work With Rice

IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions has signed deals to handle marketing and sales for Troy Univ. and the Univ. of Texas-El Paso. The Troy operation will be managed onsite by Michael Watson, who was one of the top account execs at the Univ. of Tennessee. IMG Learfield will focus on increasing sales of season ticket and group tickets for Troy football, while growing the fan base for men's and women's basketball in the new $31M Trojan Arena, set to open this August. IMG College also represents the multimedia rights for Troy. IMG Learfield likewise will place a sales and marketing team at UTEP to focus on increasing the fan bases for football and men's and women's basketball. IMG College represents the multimedia and trademark licensing rights for UTEP. Meanwhile, Georgia-based Collegiate Consulting has won the ticketing sales and marketing business for Rice Univ. Collegiate Consulting will assist Rice with sales and service through an outbound sales staff headquartered in the athletic department in an effort to broaden the school's reach for increased ticket revenue and attendance. The primary focus will be on season-ticket and group-ticket revenue for football, basketball and baseball. The staff will consist of a general manager and two account execs.
