USA Track & Field last week named RENEE CHUBE WASHINGTON COO, replacing MIKE MCNEES. Washington most recently worked for Northrop Grumman Systems where she managed local, state and commercial customers. In her new role, Washington will oversee daily operations of USATF. She started June 1 (Tripp Mickle, SportsBusiness Journal)….In this week’s SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports PepsiCo Senior Dir of Sports Marketing MARK ROOKS “has resigned after 13 years,” and is “joining Dick’s Sporting Goods at its Pittsburgh headquarters" as VP/Sports & Community. Meanwhile, NCAA Dir of Corporate Alliances PETER DAVIS is “leaving in July after a decade to join BDA, a licensee of the NCAA and most other major sports properties.” Davis will “manage BDA’s relationships with the NCAA, MLB, NFL, NASCAR and USOC and be based in Charlotte” (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/4 issue).

EXECS: Golf Channel promoted MIKE HENDRIX (Midwest region), STACEY OLECK (Mid-Atlantic region) and JONATHAN VASSIL (Northeast region) to the positions of Senior Dir of Sales. The network also promoted MAURY ADCOCK (Atlanta), BROOKE BENDLER (West Palm Beach, Daytona Beach, Cancun and Bermuda), JESSICA ELKINS (Orlando and Central Florida), DAN HARDY (Chicago), SHAWN LALLY (Detroit) and MIKE LYNCH (North Florida/South Georgia) to Senior Market Sales Managers for their respective GolfNow markets (Golf Channel)….Raycom Sports announced that a “shuffling of personnel" has moved producer JIMMY RAYBURN into the rol of COO. SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL’s Michael Smith notes Rayburn, an Exec Producer at Raycom since '86, "will oversee the daily operations, strategy and budget as COO.” President & CEO KEN HAINES will “remain in his current roles.” The company also promoted ROB REICHLEY to Exec Producer and BECKY SMITH to Controller (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/4 issue).
