MLS Attendance Up 6.3%, Impact Ranking Second During Inaugural Season

MLS teams are averaging 18,655 fans per game this season to date, up 6.3% from the same period last year. The league has been given a boost from the expansion Impact, who rank second in home attendance with 36,498 fans per game. Sounders FC continues to lead all clubs with 38,672 fans per game, up 6.6% from the same point last season. The Dynamo, who recently moved into new BBVA Compass Stadium, are seeing attendance up 25.1% over last year. Also seeing big gains are the Crew, Earthquakes, Rapids, Timbers and Real Salt Lake. Chivas USA and DC United are seeing the sharpest drops to date, down 19.1% and 17.1%, respectively. Listed below is team-by-team attendance for MLS through May 25, with comparisons to the same period last year (THE DAILY).
