The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association named CBS Sports Network VP/TV & Properties Sales MICHAEL JAQUET CMO. The position had been vacant since ANDREW JUDELSON “left for a job at WWE.” Jaquet “will be tasked with improving the organization’s revenue by signing new sponsors and improving the organization’s use of both TV and digital media.” He will “manage a team of eight employees.” USSA President & CEO BILL MAROLT said the organization “looked at approximately 15 candidates for the position.” Jaquet will begin on May 21 (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/23 issue).

EXECS: Hampton Univ. named MALCOLM AVERY interim AD while the school conducts a national search. Avery previously spent 19 years at the school, including three as AD from ’02-05 (Hampton)….Hamline Univ. promoted Dir of Compliance JASON VERDUGO to AD (Hamline)….Millikin Univ. named Univ. of Georgia Associate AD CRAIG WHITE AD (Millikin)….The Miller Park Stadium District Board named DON SMILEY Chair. Smiley is currently CEO of Milwaukee’s Summerfest music festival and served as Marlins President from ’94-98 (JSONLINE.com, 4/24).
