Fox Sports named JOHN ENTZ Exec Producer. He takes over for DOUG SELLARS, who died unexpectedly Dec. 30. Entz “rejoined Fox Sports in November after a three-year stint with MLB Network.” He will be based in L.A. and will report to the group’s Presidents and co-COOs RANDY FREER and ERIC SHANKS (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/2 issue)....Former MLB manager TONY LA RUSSA acknowledged Friday “he has accepted a high-ranking role” with the Commissioner BUD SELIG’s office. An announcement is upcoming that LaRussa will “work in conjunction” with MLB VP/On-Field Operations JOE TORRE (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 3/31).....The Univ. of Southern Miss has hired BRIAN MORRISON as Associate AD for Major Gifts (Southern Miss)....The Univ. of Nevada named ROBYN SHARP Dir of Development for Athletics (Univ. of Nevada)....The Indians named Raiders Dir of Premium Seating RYAN ROBBINS to the same position. Prior to that, Robbins was Ticket Sales Manager for the Browns (CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS, 3/31).
