NHL Attendance Up 2.1%; Blue Jackets Lead Western Conference Gains Despite Record

NHL teams are averaging 17,322 fans per game through March 12, up 2.1% from the same period a year ago. The Blackhawks continue to lead all NHL clubs with an average if 21,530 per game, up slightly from last season at the same point. Despite having the worst record in the league, the Blue Jackets lead all Western Conference clubs in gains at the gate, up 6.9% at Nationwide Arena. The Predators are also seeing healthy gains at Bridgestone Arena, up 4.1% to date. The Stars are seeing the sharpest drop among all NHL clubs, down 8.2%. Listed below is team-by-team attendance for the NHL Western Conference through March 12, with comparisons to the same period last season.
