NFL Network Seeing Its Best Distribution At Start Of Sixth Season of Live Games

NFL Network is in 57.4 million U.S. homes in November as it gets set for its sixth season of "Thursday Night Football" this week, marking the net's highest level of distribution since it first became rated in November '06. When regular-season games first aired on the net, it had a distribution of 37.5 million homes. The Weather Channel tops all U.S. cable nets with 100.2 million homes, one month after all cable nets failed to top the 100 million mark for the first time since '09. TBS also reached the mark in November with distribution in 100.1 million homes. Among sports nets, ESPN leads the way in 99.2 million homes, down from 99.8 million at the same time last year. NBA TV was set to begin airing games this month before the lockout forced their cancelation through November. The network is distributed in 55.2 million homes, up from 53.4 million at the start of last season. Listed below is distribution in the U.S. for the top 10 cable nets in November, with comparisons to the same period in previous years. Also listed is distribution for nets with sports content.
