Canadian Olympic Committee CEO & Secretary General JEAN DUPRE is stepping down from his position after less than 18 months on the job. Dupre is “leaving for personal reasons but will remain as a consultant.” He will be replaced by the organization’s COO & CMO CHRIS OVERHOLT. Prior to joining the COC, Overholt had positions with the Dolphins and NHL Panthers. The COC will "eliminate the position" of COO. In other moves, COC Exec Dir for Corporate & Brand Communications DEREK KENT was promoted to CMO, Exec Manager/Sport & NSF Relations CAROLINE ASSALIAN was promoted to the new position of Chief Sports Officer and JOLAN STORCH was named General Counsel & Business Development Adviser (CP, 8/31)….Mariners GM & Exec VP/Baseball Operations JACK ZDURIENCIK has agreed to an extension. The “length of the contract was not released, per club policy” (MLB.com, 8/31).
